These Terms of Business explain Captivo's role and how our services work.
Please read them alongside any terms, policy documents and regulatory information provided by the insurer or authorised insurance intermediary responsible for your insurance.
Captivo Limited provides insurance introduction services.
We don't arrange insurance contracts, provide regulated insurance advice or hold client money.
Depending on your requirements, we may provide access to an online insurance quotation service or introduce you to an FCA-authorised insurance broker.
Captivo provides access to an online insurance quotation service through which eligible businesses can obtain quotations and purchase insurance.
The insurance provider and any authorised insurance intermediary involved will be identified during the quotation journey.
Any quotation and insurance contract will be subject to the terms, conditions and policy documents provided during that journey. Please read this information carefully before purchasing insurance.
Where your requirements are better suited to specialist broking, Captivo may introduce you to Caunce O'Hara Insurance Brokers (COHIBL) or another FCA-authorised insurance intermediary.
Following an introduction, the authorised firm will be responsible for explaining its services and, where applicable, discussing your requirements, providing quotations and arranging your insurance.
It's important that information provided during an insurance quotation or application is accurate and complete.
The insurer or authorised insurance intermediary will explain the information required and any obligations that apply.
If your circumstances change after your insurance has been arranged, contact the insurer or insurance intermediary responsible for your policy.
Your insurance contract is with the insurer identified in your policy documents.
Your policy documents explain the cover provided and any applicable terms, conditions, limits and exclusions.
Please read them carefully and contact the insurer or authorised insurance intermediary responsible for your policy if you have questions about your cover.
Captivo doesn't hold client money.
Insurance premiums and other payments relating to your policy are handled by the insurer, authorised insurance intermediary or payment provider responsible for the transaction.
Captivo doesn't handle insurance claims.
Claims are handled by the insurer or authorised insurance broker responsible for your policy.
Your policy documents contain the relevant claims details, or you can visit our Claims page to find the appropriate contact route.
If you need to change an existing policy, contact the insurer or authorised insurance intermediary shown in your policy documents.
Any renewal arrangements will also be explained by the organisation responsible for administering your insurance.
If you're unhappy with a service provided directly by Captivo, please contact us.
If your complaint relates to an insurance quotation, policy, arrangement, administration or claim, it may need to be handled by the insurer or authorised insurance intermediary responsible for that service.
Captivo may receive commission or other remuneration when a customer we introduce goes on to purchase insurance.
Where further information about remuneration is required, it will be provided in accordance with applicable requirements.
